Description

K2-KAN is a robust drainage system ideal for a variety of applications. Made from double-walled polypropylene pipes, this system is designed to handle everything from stormwater and drainage to industrial sewers. Thanks to its durable construction and ease of installation, the K2-KAN is a preferred solution for both heavily trafficked areas and less trafficked locations. For further technical information, please refer to the available product sheet which includes standards, approvals and certificates.

The system of K2-Kan corrugated pipes and fittings is made of PP, in terms of their functional characteristics and the possibilities of carrying out earthworks and assembly works associated with laying pipes in the ground is currently the optimal sewerage system that allows for the forecast that sanitary, drainage, general or industrial sewerage systems are laid in the ground under roads with high loads or in other areas. They will be used for at least 100 years and investment costs will be optimal.
The novelty of their construction is that the outer wall has on top of the low wide rib made additional roof reinforcements that take point pressure directly on the wall. The outer tube causes its deformation, while preventing the inner wall from deforming. The outer wall further has a low and wide wave shape with narrow narrow grooves, where in the last groove there is an elastomeric gasket to connect them. With such a pipe construction, there is a favourable course for the increase of the circumferential stiffness when the thickness of the outer wall changes while the thickness of the inner wall remains constant. Depending on the thickness of the outer wall, peripheral stiffness in the range SN = (4÷16) kN/m2. All structural PP pipes and fittings (corrugated or profiled) have a much expanded wall height compared to smooth-walled (solid, foamed or other structural A pipes), where the relatively thin wall thickness (differentiated depending on the stiffness) does not have such a significant impact on the size of the inner diameter and hydraulic calculations.
K2-Kan PP pipes (DN/ID and DN/OD) are produced by coextrusion, where two independent single-screw systems plasticise polypropylene granules (with two different colours but with similar properties), which are fed to the forming head simultaneously coaxially two pipes. The inner pipe has a smooth wall and the outer pipe has a wave-shaped (corrugated) wall through a suction device. Both these pipes are connected to each other during this hot forming by pressure forming a two-layer, well-welded wall at the connection points. The smooth inner wall is light in colour, while the corrugated outer wall is orange-brown (DN/ID 150 - 600) and black (DN/ID 800 - 1000), DN OD 160 - 400 light orange. The main advantage of this type of pipe is that with low material consumption, and therefore with its light weight, pipes with high circumferential stiffness are produced.
